Ingredients
Scale
- 200g dark or milk chocolate (chopped or chips)
- 100g pistachio cream (store-bought or blend pistachios with cream)
- 50g kunafa pastry (shredded, found at Middle Eastern stores)
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: Fill a small pot with water and bring it to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl over it (not touching the water) and add the chocolate. Stir until it’s fully melted and smooth. Take it off the heat.
- Prep the Filling: In a bowl, mix the pistachio cream, shredded kunafa, and melted butter. Stir until it’s well combined. It should be thick and sticky.
- Assemble the Bar: Grab a small rectangular mold or loaf pan (lined with parchment paper). Pour half the melted chocolate in and spread it evenly. Let it cool for 5 minutes in the fridge to firm up a bit.
- Add the Filling: Spoon the pistachio-kunafa mix over the chocolate layer. Spread it out but leave a little edge around the sides.
- Top It Off: Pour the rest of the melted chocolate over the filling, covering it completely. Smooth the top with a spoon.
- Chill: Pop the mold in the fridge for 2 hours or until the chocolate is hard.
- Serve: Take it out, remove from the mold, and cut into bars. Enjoy your homemade Dubai chocolate bar near me!
Notes
- Kunafa Tip: If you can’t find kunafa, use crushed phyllo dough or skip it for a smoother bar.
- Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temp for up to a week.
- Customize: Add a sprinkle of edible gold flakes for that Dubai luxe vibe!
